4 Questions to Ask When Finding Your Target Market

1/3/2020

Once you establish a target market, you can better customize your services and products to meet your targets’ wants and needs.
Who do you have handling your Marketing Segmentation on social media platforms? Remember, it is not just cities, states or countries you will need to focus your efforts. You must take it even further and break it down into demographic, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral segments. Of course, you can not market to everyone, and you shouldn’t. Use your marketing efforts effectively by creating a target market strategy that speaks directly to your potential buyers. To understand each marketing segment ask yourself these four questions:

  1. Demographic: What is the consumer's age, gender, family size, religion, nationality, income, and education level?
  2. Geographic: What country, region, city or area a potential consumer reside?
  3. Psychographic: What are consumer's lifestyles, personalities, interests, opinions, social class, habits, and activities? How can we better ascertain their needs?
  4. Behavioral: How much does your target market know about your product or service?
Learning the ins and outs of your target market may take time but it is not too difficult when you understand marketing segmentation. Once you establish a target market, you can better customize your services and products to meet your targets’ wants and needs. Have you segmented your market yet?

GIVE before you ASK! I love finding opportunities to help fellow business owners in my community. When I meet a business owner I ask “What can I do to help you grow your business?”
GIVE before you ASK! I love finding opportunities to help fellow business owners in my community. When I meet a business owner I ask “What can I do to help you grow your business?” I know it will come back to me ten-fold if I give generously of my time and advice. It is so beneficial to partner with local business owners who truly care about servicing all your business needs.

As the holiday season approaches it is important, now more than ever, for us all to make a conscious effort to support our local businesses. These business owners are not just business owners, they are our neighbors, our friends, family, acquaintances, and holiday event attendees. The money they keep in the comfy confines of your city trickles down more than money spent at the national brands.

Increase Your SEO Using Image Optimization

increase your SEO rankings using Image Optimization
Here are some tips on how to increase your SEO rankings using Image Optimization.  Think of this as alternative forms of content you can use to drive traffic and boost your SEO.  From our past blog posts, you learned about descriptive text, now you must insert alternative texts, commonly referred to as “alt texts” or “alt tags”.  These alternative texts describe what the image is before placing it on your website.  When Google sends bots to learn what is on each page of your website, alternative texts provide content for search engine "spiders" to skim and credit your website.

An example for the image above would be: alt=“[2019 SEO Image Optimization Google Search Analytics]”.  It is important that you work closely with your web designer or social media consultant on how image file names and alternative texts should be created.
